Amazon Conservation Through Indigenous Reciprocity: A Living Mission Rooted in the Sacred
The Amazon Rainforest is not just the lungs of the Earth — it is the living library of plant medicine, biodiversity, and Indigenous wisdom. At OIOC (Organización for Indígenous Outreach and Conservation), we stand in partnership with the Kamëntsá people of the Sibundoy Valley, working daily to protect sacred territory, endangered species, and cultural practices that have healed humanity for generations.

Your Support = Amazon Conservation + Cultural Preservation
Why Amazon Conservation Must Be Indigenous-Led
Conservation efforts that exclude Indigenous voices often fail to address the root of the issue: disconnection. True Amazon conservation begins with reciprocity — honoring the people who have protected these lands for millennia. The Kamëntsá are stewards of Yagé (Ayahuasca) and hold vital knowledge for restoring the balance between humans and nature.
Through cultural revitalization, biodiversity restoration, and spiritual healing, our work is guided by a living system of values — not extraction, but interconnection. We plant endangered medicinal species, restore native forests, support intergenerational wisdom transmission, and create spaces for ceremonial healing rooted in tradition.
Healing the Planet Starts with Giving Back to the Indigenous People
Every seed planted, every story shared, and every ritual honored is a step toward healing not just the Amazon — but ourselves. Your support helps us reforest the Putumayo River basin, protect sacred plants, support language and cultural education, and provide safe homes for community members in need.
This is not charity — it is reciprocity. A sacred exchange. A way to walk with intention.
